Congratulations to the four winners of the 2024 Distinguished Service Awards, who were honored along with 31 other nominees for their exceptional dedication to the students of District 58.

Fifty eight eighth graders were honored with Select 58 Recognition Awards for their service to their school and community and their character. 

Board members, Herrick and O'Neill administrators, staff and students, District 58 administrators as well as community members celebrated renovations with official groundbreaking ceremonies. 

District 58 has launched a new Strategic Plan and is working on new goals over the next five years. 

Parents, PTA, state and district funds combine to complete new accessible playgrounds. 

District 58 is emphasizing positive relationships and that is the foundation that builds student success.

The Gold Rating, from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), is the highest honor that a preschool can receive.

Staff are bringing their training from the Orange Frog Happiness Advantage to their schools. Research shows that it has an enormous effect on attitude, motivation, staff morale, school climate and student achievement.
