Had to update and improve our main bathroom along with some other areas in the house. Looked for contractors that we felt we qualified and that would provide the level of service we required. After research, located Hogan Design and Construction (HDC) we contacted them and they provided us with their business processes and they met our requirements. They focus on Complete understanding of the agreed work, helped us make a couple changes to improve our plan. They are excellent at communication of any questions I had and were quick to provide answers and/or suggestions. Would definitely use them for any other changes we might make in the future. Our best experience ever This contractor (HDC) left me satisfied and completely convinced of their Overall skills and competence. Definitely will use for my future projects.

I recently redid my rooftop deck rails and grill surround. I could not have asked for a project to go more smoothly. Doug, the project manager, did an excellent job of keeping me in the loop and the project was completed in record time.

All the workers were respectful and pleasant to work with and the end product is beautiful. The HDC team is honest, thorough and stands by their work.

They are also a wonderful company to work for - they care about their employees and the communities in which they work. They value their relationships (customers, employees and community members) and are quick to respond and provide excellent service in all that they do..

HDC has helped us complete a couple projects in our home, as well as some of our friends. They responded to all of our requests and worked closely with us to make sure we were satisfied. After living in 6 states over the course of 9 years, I settled in the Fox River Valley area in 2004. Since that time, I have used Hogan Design & Construction (HDC) exclusively for 14 years, for both my residential as well as commercial needs. In my experience, on any given project, Hogan was (appropriately) neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive contractor on any of my projects. And within that acceptable middle range that most people (including me) probably gravitate toward, they have been the most honest, customer-service-oriented contractor I have ever worked with.

HDC stands behind their work, they show up on time, and if there is a delay or a problem...the most important thing to me has been...they PROACTIVELY communicate. In any business, issues will arise. It's how you handle those issues that determines how you are remembered, and in my opinion, whether you earn a customer's loyalty. Not only has HDC been almost issue-free over those 14 years, but when something did come up--they called me about it--and we figured out a solution together. Communication. They are great at it.

As for quality, they are top-notch. And on top of all that, the owner/founder (Brian Hogan) is one of the most ethical, family-oriented people I know that strives to help others and to give back to the community.

In summary, Hogan Design & Construction has been a fantastic partner. Whenever I have the chance to recommend them to someone (as I have probably hundreds of times now), I gladly do it without reservation.

My husband and I choose Hogan to completely re-side the exterior of our 2 story home in Geneva, as well as adding design elements and rebuilding our porch/sunroom. We made this choice because of their reputation and the fact that they are a family owned local business. As it turned out we definitely made a wise choice. Before the project started we told our Project Manager, Douglas Panozzo that beside the quality of work, communication and staying within budget were most important to us. Obviously Doug really listened because from beginning to end he guided us through the entire process...listening to our concerns, offering advise, and keeping us up to date all along the way. In addition Doug is a stickler for detail, and the consummate professional and we are absolutely thrilled with the way our home turned out.

I can honestly say Hogan Design & Construction has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. They installed a stone tile shower and tub for us, were friendly, organized, and had our entire shower and tub installed like we pictured very quickly. They warranty their work for one year, so when we experienced a problem FIVE years later, we assumed they would not help us in any way. Instead, we were absolutely blown away by the customer service when they came out within the hour, examined the work and just in case it was related to work they did and to provide great customer service they had a plumber come out within the hour and solve the entire problem. All of the time, labor and parts they did for no charge just to provide amazing customer service and their staff was incredibly nice, helpful and professional. You will not find that with any other company I'm sure. They stand behind their work 100% and really do a fantastic job of providing the quality work that customers are looking for that lasts years. Could not recommend more.

We hired Hogan Design & Construction to renovate a bathroom, update two bedrooms, and perform other work in surrounding areas. We believed the job would be straight forward, since no structural work was involved. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but straightforward.

Due to a lack of management and supervision, tradespeople and subcontractors would arrive with little or no direction about the work to be performed, or the materials to be used on a given day. Even though we spent the time and money to have drawings made in advance of the project, time and time again the drawings were either ignored, or used only as a suggestion. The project took far longer than originally told to us.

Once we began to identify problems, Hogan told us they would fix mistakes at the end, but did not want to take steps that would prevent mistakes in the first place. The quality of workmanship in some areas was far below what we considered to be acceptable. We don't understand why anyone who has pride in their workmanship would perform at such a low standard, and believe it would be acceptable to the homeowner. At the end, we were so tired of pointing out mistakes, and begging for them to be corrected, that we found it easier to hire another contractor to do the final corrections and finishes. My best advice to anyone considering using Hogan, is BUYER BEWARE!

Condo remodel project. They completely transformed my place. Brad Hogan and Jason Bonomini were a pleasure to work with from a design, installation, communication standpoint. They gave great suggestions and showed me past work they have completed to help guide my selections. Their employees were knowledgeable, friendly, prompt, courteous, and professional. The entire project took 5 weeks as it was a major rehab and they delivered the project on time and on budget. I would highly recommend working with them again and will use them again for new windows and doors and a fireplace redo down the road.

The project was a bathroom overhaul, new kitchen (appliances, cabinets, granite, lighting), bedroom and flooring. They completely transformed a dark, dated space into a more functional and beautiful unit. I can't believe it is the same unit! If you are considering a project use Hogan Design. They made the process easy, quick and delivered an amazing finished project. A+++
