Davenport Architects

I've been wanting to write this review for awhile. My wife and I hired the Davenports to design and build an addition to our three bedroom, one and half bath house. Mike was patient with us, as we'd never done anything like this before. He carefully explained the issues we could face and made thoughtful suggestions. In the end, their design not only added a full master suite, but also reshaped part of our second floor to expand our daughter's bedroom, a nice walk-in closet and redesigned an existing full bath for much smarter use of the space. And, better still, the finished product would have looked as if it were always there. Unfortunately after the drawings were set, we were forced to move (for work) and never had a chance to break ground. But -- I think about that design a lot, along with the care they took to meet our needs and our budget. If you are looking for architects who are going to get it right, my wife and I wholeheartedly recommend talking with the Davenports.

We hired Davenport Architects back in 2010 for a major top to bottom full house remodel that included adding a large addition to the back. His plans, professionalism and results were spectacular. Now in 2019, we've returned to Mike to reconfigure the back of our rental property by adding a small addition. His plan never would have occurred to us and not only solved the problems but added elegance and bonus space to the back entrance. Highest praise.

We just completed a complete rehab of our new home using the service of Davenport Architects. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish with our project. We interviewed several architects before we chose Davenport. The drawings were great, the help during construction was fantastic, & the overall experience was exceptionally . I would use them again and I would definitely recommend them to others. I have heard horror stories of bad architects from many people in the construction industry and I was so pleased that Davenport exceeded our expectations in every facet of the project. Sometimes it isn’t until you are done with a project and compare experiences with other friends that you realize the extras that Davenport offers made them worth their fees and more. During the course of the project I was always able to reach them with questions and concerns. All of our contractors that needed to contact them were impressed with the answers they received.

Mike and Shelly do an outstanding job creating a space or a home that fit your needs with a great style within.your budget. Unlike most architects, the Davenport 's see though a project from start to finish with great care in the details. They a work have been a true assets to our community. They have talent, creativity, dedication and all the aspects of true professionalism. I am so impressed with the quality of their work with each job that I have seen. Every different one (small or large) was outstanding!
