Meet the New Leaders!
You’ve seen the press releases and read the interviews!
Now get a chance to meet the new leadership of three of Downers Grove’s key
public organizations. Dave Fieldman, Village Manager, Dr. Mark McDonald,
Superintendent of Community High School District 99 and Paul Zaander,
Interim Superintendent of Downers Grove Grade School District 58 will participate in a
panel discussion of what’s on the horizon for these important entities. Find
out what new initiatives will be launched in the New Year, and what traditions
will stay the same. Join us on Wednesday, January 14 from 11:30 am to
1:30 pm for this enlightening discussion at the DoubleTree Guest Suites &
Conference Center in Downers Grove. Fee: Members $25; Non-Members $40.
With
a reduction in sales tax revenue, the Village of Downers Grove has had to
tighten the budget. Find out what measures Dave and his staff have put into
place to deal with this challenge.
Mark
McDonald has some impressive goals for the students of District 99 including
improving student performance in reading and mathematics, increasing access for
all students to higher level courses, and improving and upgrading the facilities
at both high schools.
Paul
Zaander is focused on new initiatives for District 58 including implementing
Response to Intervention protocols and standards-based report cards, researching
programs to address students’ social and emotional learning, and putting into
place a funding plan for the district’s future building needs.
