Event Description: Get energized and inspired at the DuPage PADS 7th annual Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 7:00 – 8:30 am in the Krasa Center, Benedictine University, Lisle. Join business, congregation and civic leaders in the community for a breakfast of inspiration and motivation. Author Gary Moore will be the featured guest speaker. “We know Gary will inspire all of our guests at this event,” says Carol Simler, DuPage PADS Executive Director. “I hope readers will come away realizing that in striving for a goal, what matters is who you become in the process, not what you get. Success is not a destination, but a journey,” says Gary Moore. Moore is the author of the critically acclaimed book, Playing with the Enemy, (www.playingwiththeenemy.com) winner of the 2006 Military Writers Society of America Book of the Year. Playing with the Enemy is currently being made into a major motion picture by Academy Award winning producer, Gerald Molen. Moore is also a contributing author for Chicken Soup for the Father & Son Soul. Tickets are $40 per person and tables of 8 are available for $320. To register, please call DuPage PADS at 630-682-3846 X 242 or register online at www.dupagepads.org. We thank our sponsors Van Kampen Investments and Casey’s Foods for generously supporting this special event. Event Sponsorships are still available. Proceeds will fund Life Skills Coaching and Employment Readiness Programs, for people looking to transition back into the community, and provide Interim (Overnight), Transitional and Permanent Supportive housing for men, women and children who are homeless in DuPage County.
