"Everything you wanted to know about disabilities but were afraid to ask!" will be the topic of a business educational seminar co-hosted by the Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce & Naperville Chamber of Commerce to be held at the Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodeo Drive, on Tuesday, November 17th from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This seminar is part of a series of state-wide business educational Chamber Summits sponsored by disabilityworks in partnership with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, IL Dept. of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Small Business Development Centers, DBTAC ADA Great Lakes Assistive Technology Center and the IL Dept. of Healthcare and Family Services. The summit will offer educational updates on the 2008 Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act which became effective January 2009. This new ADA Amendments Act has expanded the definition of disability and more Americans are designated as persons with disabilities. The summit will provide an opportunity for employers to obtain answers to frequently asked questions about employing people with disabilities and reaching out to this customer base which is good for their bottom line.
