Haiti's Lunchbox is a student-organized fundraising project to provide 100,000 meals to the people of Haiti. We are partnering with Feed My Starving Children and want to raise $17,000 (the cost of the materials for 100,000 meals) to bring a mobile food packing unit to District 99 (will be held at North High). We will also need to enlist more than 500 volunteers to help pack the meals on Saturday, May 8, 2010. It's going to be an awesome day!
Under the guidance of the Feed My Starving Children organization, volunteers will produce MannaPack-Rice, a unique food formula which was designed specifically for severely malnourished children. Each meal consists of rice, textured soy protein, dehydrated vegetables, 20 vitamins and minerals with a chicken flavor.
You can help out in several ways: Consider forming a volunteer team to help us pack the food. Teams of 15 people volunteer their services for two hour shifts on May 8th. Visit here to access a team registration form: http://www.csd99.org/assets/11/activites/Team_registration_form1-1_south.pdf
Make a monetary donation in any amount.
