Event Description: Commemorate the Civil War Sesquicentennial during Walking with Soldiers: The Civil War Tour to be held from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Sunday, June 26. Learn the story of how Levi Shafer’s gun fired the first two shots at Gettysburg, see how the shell that killed Dr. Horace Potter is incorporated into his headstone, view the grave of a Confederate soldier that is buried at the Naperville Cemetery, and hear more stories of Civil War veterans who were from Naperville. For ages teen to adult. (Some historical material may be too graphic for younger audiences.) Walk begins at the Naper Settlement Visitor Center, 523 S. Webster St., Naperville. Tickets are $12/person; $10/Naperville Heritage Society Sustaining Member. Call (630) 420-6010 for tickets.
