Event Description: Amdur Productions, a nationally acclaimed art festival production company, proudly launches its 29th year with its national “call for entries.” For nearly three decades, Amdur Productions has organized many of the Chicago areas’ most prestigious and successful juried art festivals. Many of Amdur's festivals are rated in Sunshine Artist magazine's top 100 with several appearing in the top 50. This year, the company offers new opportunities for artists with the addition of three new festivals across the Midwest: New Buffalo Artigras! in New Buffalo, Michigan; The Art Center’s Festival of Fine Craft in Highland Park, Illinois; and the Third Ward Art Festival in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. “We know artists rely on successful festivals for their livelihood so we are excited to offer three more opportunities for them to sell their work,” says Amy Amdur, president and founder of her namesake firm. “We look forward to seeing the artists who have made our festivals thrive apply again this year and welcome those who are applying for the first time.” Once again, Amdur Productions is offering artists the opportunity to apply online. Artists can visit www.amdurproductions.com and click “APPLY NOW,” then follow the prompts to submit their work electronically through Juried Art Services (JAS). Artists should submit four images of their work and one photo of their booth. Applicants who wish to submit traditional slides and use a paper application may still do so for a small conversion fee. All applications must be received before midnight on January 3, 2012 for consideration in this season’s extraordinary line-up. An acclaimed group of national jurors will review the artists work the week of January 30th and artists will be notified of their status on February 13th.
