Join in the celebration of our planet all weekend from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 21 and from 1–4 p.m. Sunday, April 22 at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St., Naperville. Learn how the museum’s new interior roads, constructed in 2011 using interlocking permeable pavers, will help improve the DuPage River watershed. Take a 2 p.m. guided tour on Sunday of our new rain gardens to discover how to design and select plants for this beneficial type of garden. Visit activity stations and make a Soil Sammy, Garden in a Glove and Dissect a Seed; pump water from an old fashioned pump connected to cisterns; and watch demonstrations that share the science behind the stormwater improvements.
