Chicago led the nation in urban food production during World War II and how the city is poised again with the homegrown food revolution of this new generation. Joy is the author of the popular urban gardening blog, “The Yarden,” and is the founder of the Peterson Garden Project in Chicago. Naper Settlement’s Victory Garden and rain gardens also will be featured.
