Event Description: As Halloween approaches, Tivoli Theatre invites you to come down and show off your favorite, spookiest and funniest Halloween costumes on Saturday, October 27th during Baird & Warner’s 20th annual Halloween Happening! Registration for the costume contest begins at 9 AM with judging slated for 9:45 AM. After the contest, be sure to attend a FREE screening of “How To Train Your Dragon” (PG) at 11 AM, presented using Tivoli’s state of the art digital projection and sound technology. The Tivoli Theatre is located at 5021 Highland Avenue in downtown Downers Grove. The 2011 animated film “How To Train Your Dragon” tells the story of a hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons, and after becoming the unlikely friend of a young dragon himself, he learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed. Baird & Warner will have prizes for the costume contest winners. And, to top off this Halloween celebration, the Tivoli will be providing FREE popcorn.
