Habitat for Humanity Gingerbread House Show & Competition - Friday, November 29th - Sunday, December 1st during the Gingerbread Festival.
Help "build" holiday cheer for area families in need! All proceeds will benefit DuPage Habitat for Humanity
Build a Gingerbread House and enter it one of three categories:
- Student/Family - at least one builder must be high school age or under.
- Amateur - builders are over 18 but not paid professional bakers. (clubs, groups of friends, culinary students, churches, etc.)
- Professional - bakeries, restaurants, chefs, architects AND others are challenged to compete with their peers to see who takes the prize!
Show your house at the Downtown Downers Grove Gingerbread Festival. Houses in the PROFESSIONAL category will be part of a silent auction to help raise funds for Habitat. All houses will be eligible to win the "Elves Choice Award" given to the homes generating the most fan favorite votes (and donations to Habitat!)
Help families in need of safe, decent and affordable housing by supporting this event! Stop in at the Habitat's Gingerbread Headquarters: 5122 Main St., Downers Grove from Nov 29 - Dec 1 to decorate homes and learn more about how YOU can get involved!
