Like many, Jannie and her family were shocked to learn she had an advanced stage of lung cancer, particularly because she was health conscious and didn’t smoke. Knowing an early diagnosis could have provided a different outcome, Jannie’s family and friends are passionate about funding research so things will be different for others who have non-smoking lung cancer. To date, the organization has raised more than $250,000 for lung cancer research. Besides the game, McArdle is hosting a pre-game tailgating party in Lot “A” adjacent to the ballpark. It is a family friendly event, so bring kids, friends and neighbors to celebrate Jannie McArdle and give hope to others. There will be complimentary food, beer, wine and soft drinks. Tickets must be purchased through Jannie’s Hope to have proceeds donated to the Janice McArdle Cancer Research Foundation. Directions: U.S. Cellular Field Need more information?
