Event Description: The acclaimed ensemble Chicago a cappella will sing beautiful and intriguing holiday music heard nowhere else at its upcoming concert, “Holidays a cappella.” This year’s edition of the group’s December classic includes songs in nine languages — music from as far away as Nigeria and as close as Chicago. Audiences will discover Christmas music from Iceland, Venezuela, Canada, and the U.S., as well as brilliant and festive music celebrating Chanukah. The nine singers of Chicago a cappella will also share soulful spirituals and traditional holiday melodies, and will revel in the glorious Baroque masterpiece “Komm, Jesu, Komm” by J. S. Bach.
